Less harsh than pumice based cleansers!
Our charcoal mechanic soap is an effective cleanser that will not be too drying to your skin. I use activated bamboo charcoal which is much less abrasive than a pumice soap, and have started making this batch with concentrated Orange oil as well.
This soap is available in two color schemes. The first is black, orange, and yellow. The other is one I’m calling “orange whip” (a nod to the blues bros) and is appropriately black and white.
I personally love the charcoal soaps, and my boyfriend uses it after working on his truck. It cleans grease wonderfully without being as evil as lava soap. He’s thrown “motorcycle chain filth and Truck filth” at it and says that “it took it off on the first pass, and wasn’t as abrasive as most of the other stuff”
I was splitting wood, and got pine sap all over my hands. It took two passes and the sap was completely gone.
This is a rectangular bar roughly 4-5oz in weight. The bar produces very tiny, dense bubbles. so tiny that it seems like you’re just applying some weird, grey lotion to your hands, but I promise you they are tiny bubbles. Wet the bar thoroughly for best results.
We always recommend that you use a draining soap dish with your handmade soaps so that the bar has a chance to dry and harden between uses.
Now available in a 5 pound loaf of soap, pre-cut, with your option to have it labeled or save money and skip the labels! All loaves and backorders take 4-6 weeks to process.

How to make it last longer:
We recommend that you use a draining soap dish with any your charcoal mechanic soap. Because a draining soap dish will give your bar of soap the opportunity to dry out between uses. This way you bar of soap will last much longer. Have you ever noticed that the bar of soap sitting in the puddle of water in your shower has become soft and mushy? When you’re soap is sitting in water, it is slowly dissolving.
