Anise Soap

Anise Soap has that distinctive licorice smell, which I will admit is not my favorite, but I still use this soap regularly because it just makes my cranky skin happy.

Anise Soap

Anise has been cultivated for over 2000 years, and has been used medicinally ever since. Even one of my migraine medications contained Anise. So it is no surprise to me that it’s also a very popular for use in skincare as well.¬† It has been used in everything from the manufacturing of Tamiflu to natural bug repellent. Anise soap is a great all around soap for your everyday needs!

What’s in Anise Soap?

Ingredients are as follows:

  • Love
  • Olive Oil Pomace/Rice Bran Oil blend
  • Palm Oil
  • Coconut Oil
  • Palm Kernel Oil Flakes
  • Anise Essential Oil
  • Water
  • sodium hydroxide for the chemical reaction to make soap

Caring for your soap

We recommend that you use a draining soap dish with any handmade soap. Because¬† a draining soap dish will give your bar of soap the opportunity to dry out between uses. This way you bar of soap will last much longer. Have you ever noticed that the bar of soap sitting in the puddle of water in your shower has become soft and mushy? When you’re soap is sitting in water, it is slowly dissolving.

“I love the smell, and it really helps out with my acne, keeps my skin super clear. I also love that it doesn’t dry my skin out like so many other facial cleansers do.”¬† – Bob S.
